GREENWICH, Conn. -- Students and staff will join forces in an effort to raise $25,000 for the fight against cancer as Greenwich High School hosts its third annual head-shaving event to benefit St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
The event will be on Thursday, March 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Center at GHS.
St. Baldrick’s Foundation is dedicated to working with leading pediatric oncologists to determine the most promising research to fund, and to create funding priorities to make the greatest impact for children with cancer.
On March 19, GHS students and staff will volunteer to have their heads shaved to raise money for St. Baldrick’s Foundation. The event has surpassed fund raising goals each year, raising $25,000 in 2013 with a goal of $10,000, and $35,000 in 2014 with a goal of $20,000. The goal this year is $25,000.
