Greenwich High May Add AP World History Course For Freshmen

GREENWICH, Conn. -- A proposal to include an Advanced Placement world history class for ninth-graders has become a divisive issue among Greenwich parents, according to greenwichtime.com.

Some PTA members have asked the school to include an AP class in an effort to challenge students, but there are others who say high school freshmen shouldn't be taking college level courses, greenwichtime.com reported. 

An estimated 15 percent of students would enroll in the AP course if it were put in place, greenwichtime.com said.
