The fair is free, open to the public and serves to acquaint families with an array of independent day and boarding schools throughout the United States and Canada. More than 90 top schools will be on hand to meet and answer the questions of prospective students and their families.

The process for admissions to private day and boarding schools is highly competitive as more and more students bring a wealth of academic achievements, experiences and interests to the table.

Attending the Secondary School Fair will enable students and parents the opportunity to speak with admission representatives to get a taste of the different schools.

More than 500 prospective students and parents from New York City as well as Fairfield, Westchester, Putnam and New Haven counties attended last year’s event to speak with admissions directors and learn about the schools.

Victoria Newman and Muffy Fox, Co-Directors of Day and Boarding School Advisory Services at Greenwich Education Group, noted that choosing the right independent or boarding school is a decision that can have a lifelong impact. The Boarding School Fair offers families an efficient way to compare the offerings of a variety of these schools.

Along with Greenwich Education Group, the Secondary School School Fair is co-sponsored by the Department of Parks and Recreation/Town of Greenwich, Moffly Media and Upper Crust Bagel.

All proceeds go to the Town of Greenwich Parks and Recreation Foundation Scholarship Fund, which provides low-income families access to summer camp and sports programs.

The Greenwich Education Group offers academic tutoring, standardized test preparation, education consulting, specialized learning services, transition programs and four accredited schools: Beacon, Pinnacle, the Spire School and Links Academy.
