In the aftermath of Superintendent Sidney Freunds resignation, the Greenwich Board of Education is expecting a sizable turnout at Thursdays meeting. The board announced Monday the location of the meeting will be moved from the Central Middle School auditorium to the Greenwich High School auditorium.
The meeting is set to begin at 7 p.m. The move will allow for increased seating and should alleviate parking problems. Board of Education Chair Steve Anderson said Monday the agenda will be expanded to allow for more public commentary.
Some of the 747 members of the Bring Back Dr. Sidney Freund Facebook group are urging residents to attend the meeting. Resident Bob Miklautsch said Monday on the groups page, The Board of Ed. Needs to hear repeatedly the communitys reaction.
The meeting will begin with student recognitions and organization comments and move onto the public hearing. Agenda items might have to be postponed to the next meeting depending on how much time is necessary for public comment.
Anderson reminded attendees that commentary is limited to 3 minutes, and that speakers will be expected to comply with the boards policy concerning civility and charges or complaints concerning individuals.
