Students at Greenwich Academy showed their holiday spirit and love of languages in their seasonal concerts Dec. 7 and 8. Groups I through IV performed an impressive program that included folk songs in languages such as Yiddish, German, Russian and Japanese.
The girls also showcased their musical talents on the tambourine, xylophone, recorder and, of course, festive jingle bells. Dianne Ellis helped the students demonstrate a storyline for every song. Group IV sang its version of "Seven Feet of Snow" and used gestures to demonstrate the thoughts of a blizzard. The lights dimmed and the girls' stood with illuminated candles for the finale of "One Candle, One Flame."
