WESTPORT, Conn. – Sixty-six students from Fairfield County and beyond graduated from Greens Farms Academy in Westport on Thursday morning at the school’s 87th commencement ceremony.
The sun shone down upon the academy as the seniors, dressed in their best, received diplomas from Janet Hartwell, head of school. Leading the Class of 2012 were salutatorian Kishan Patel from Westport and valedictorian Kate Tomlinson from Darien.
This year, for the first time, 14 graduates received a global studies diploma. These diplomas were awarded to seniors who completed the requirements for the Global Studies concentration, including yearlong thesis projects, which they presented to the school community in April.
