Greenwich Academy's acclaimed Madrigals Singers burst into the Young Assembly Hall to share their gift of song and spread holiday cheer with the Lower School students. The Madrigals took to the stage with their opening song "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas" and followed it with a collaboration with Group II's rendition of "Pinecones and Holly Berries." Musical director Beth Raaen led the younger students in "Light One Candle."
The Madrigals surprised the younger girls with a gift from their summer tour of Austria and Italy. In GA tradition, every gift comes with a story and connection. The Lower School chess teams are national champions, like the Madrigals. The singers presented the girls with a poster of the largest living chess game from Maristoca, Italy.
