CBS Foreign Policy Reporter Speaks At Greenwich's Sacred Heart Graduation

GREENWICH, Conn. – CBS foreign policy reporter Margaret Brennan is scheduled to speak at the upcoming commencement ceremony of her alma mater, Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich.

Sacred Heart’s class of 2015 is 82 young women who plan to attend a variety of four-year educational institutions in the fall, according to a press release from the school.

Brennan graduated from Sacred Heart in 1998, then entered the University of Virginia.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs and Middle East studies with a minor in the Arabic language.

Brennan then studied Arabic at Yarmouk University in Jordan as a Fulbright-Hays Scholar.

She joined CBS News in 2012, and has traveled around the world with major political figures such as Secretary of State John Kerry, former Secretary of State and 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, and former Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel.

Brennan spent about 10 years covering global financial markets for Bloomberg, CNBC, and NBC News.

Convent of the Sacred Heart’s graduation will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 5, at the school, 1177 King St., Greenwich.
