Conner is leaving the post of principal at Hallen School in Bridgeport. She is bilingual and has been a Spanish teacher as well as a school administrator.

“Ms. Conner combines a thorough knowledge of world language education with enthusiasm, passion and administrative experience," McKersie said in a statement. "She has facilitated professional development opportunities in world languages and can guide the department in aligning its curriculum with the common core standards and new teaching approaches. I also am pleased that Ms. Conner brings rich experience teaching a diverse set of students.”

Conner said in a statement, “As an educator and administrator, my main goal is to ensure that all students are provided with appropriate and challenging instruction in order to afford them a meaningful and successful experience every day of the school year."

As a principal in the Bridgeport Public Schools, Conner implemented and monitored schoolwide data teams using data-driven decision making. She developed and implemented school-based professional development, and ensured all bilingual and special education needs were being met for the school’s students.

Conner received her bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State University, a master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University and a sixth-year degree from Southern Connecticut State University in education leadership.
