NORWALK, Conn. -- Kids showed their running, biking and swimming skills Saturday at the Mossman Kids Triathlon at Calf Pasture Beach.
Kids ran in the 4-6, 7-10 and 11-14 age groups. The distances in each discipline varied depending on the age. The youngest groups swam 20 yards, rode one mile on the bike and ran for 100 yards. The middle age group kids swam 100 yards, rode for 2.5 miles and ran a half mile. The oldest kids swam 200 yards, rode five miles and ran one mile. Among the athletes who competed were Nathaniel, Madeleine and Isabelle Gordon of Norwalk. It was the first Mossman for Isabelle, 6, while Madeleine and Nathaniel have previous experience in the event.
