Art Competition Picks Winners

Art of the Northeast competition winners were celebrated at New Canaan's Silvermine Guild Arts Center on April 30. The competition showcased 64 works by 47 artists who reside and work throughout the Northeast. The winners include, from left to right: Helmut Amann (New York City) winner of the Steven Madwed Memorial Award for Photography; Cecilia Fradet (Weston), AoNE committee chair; Tom Bennett (Brooklyn) 3rd place winner; Joseph Saccio (North Haven) for Best in Show; Silas Finch (New Haven) awarded the Mollie & Albert Jacobson Award for Sculpture; Sergio Gonzalez-Tornero (Mahopac, NY)  2nd place winner; and Robert Kirschbaum (West Hartford) awarded the Jerry’s Art Supply Warehouse Award.
