The home, known as October Hill, is a manor home on 10-plus acres with 679 feet of river frontage and embraced by 62-plus acres of open space.

The original owner, a Swedish diplomat and post-World War II industrialist, custom-crafted this home to such exacting standards that he imported a team of Italian craftsman to quarry and cut on site all the stone used in its construction.

The current owner, a noted designer, once again imported a team of artisans and rebuilt and expanded this architecturally significant home, where Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow once lived.

Owners dedicated themselves over a period of years to restoring and refining October Hill's character and luster, and took great pains to faithfully replicate many original details in its recent addition. The renovation was completed in 2010.

This residence — with 10,836 square feet of living space – boasts craftsmanship, design flourishes, many modern luxuries and resort-style amenities -- including a ballroom, a chef's kitchen and six lavish bedrooms — all reminiscent of The Ritz, all suitable as master suites, as well as eight full and four partial bathrooms.

It also boasts a dramatic infinity pool with classic cabana and full gourmet summer kitchen; nostalgic 'Old Hollywood' movie theater; a billiards lounge; two bar areas; a grand "cafe;" wine cellar; high-tech security system; tiered stone terraces overlooking panoramic landscape artistry; and private access to some of the finest, most scenic trout fishing in the region.

It is listed by Joni Usdan and Emily Gordon.
