GREENWICH, Conn. – Former President George H.W. Bush, who spent his childhood in Greenwich and attended Greenwich Country Day School, was in intensive care Wednesday night in a Houston hospital due to an "elevated fever," according to CNN.
Bush was listed in "guarded" condition and has remained in intensive care since Sunday, according to CNN . He has been hospitalized for more than a month, and his family visited him for Christmas.
Bush was being treated for "bronchitis and a lingering cough" when a fever developed late last week, also according to CNN.
The 41st president moved with his family to Greenwich shortly after his birth in 1924. He attended Greenwich Country Day School for his early schooling years, according to Wikipedia.
Bush's brother, Prescott Bush Jr., lived in Greenwich for most of his life. The former president attended his brother's funeral at Christ Church in Greenwich in 2010, according to Greenwich Time.
