FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The deadline looms for Fairfield County residents to register to vote in the municipal elections set for Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Connecticut residents must register by 8 p.m. Oct. 29 at their Registrar of Voters Office in their Town Hall to be eligible to vote. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 5.
“Crucial decisions on town and city budgets, schools, infrastructure and environmental policy are facing many towns in our state," said Secretary of the State Denise Merrill, in a statement. "Make sure you have a voice."

"I urge every voter in Connecticut to visit our website, see who is running, and familiarize yourself with the ballot you will be using on Election Day,” said Merrill.
