FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn. will serve as the Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution.
The subcommittee was formerly known as the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Human Rights.
“Voting rights, women’s health care, privacy rights and anti-discrimination protections are under assault from an administration that has demonstrated time and time again an antipathy and downright opposition to bedrock Constitutional principles and civil rights,” Blumenthal said in making the announcement Tuesday.
Blumenthal will continue to serve as Ranking Member of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, and in addition to his membership on the Senate Judiciary and Commerce Committees, will continue to serve on the Senate Armed Services, Veterans, and Aging Committees.
