Woman Survives Jump From Bridge To I-95 In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. --  A woman survived after jumping from the Scribner Avenue bridge in Norwalk onto I-95 on Wednesday afternoon, according to The Hour.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 3 p.m. when a woman jumped from the bridge onto the shoulder of the highway. Norwalk police, state police and medical personnel responded to the area and processed the scene. Traffic was impacted on I-95 north, but no lanes were closed.

Witnesses told The Hour that the woman appeared to still be breathing while emergency officials assisted her. The Hour later reported she was treated for minor physical injuries after what police called a suicide attempt.
