Greenwich Woman Dies Following Crash In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — A Greenwich woman involved in a Stamford car accident, succumbed to her injuries and died Monday afternoon, a news release from the police department said.

Armand Robustelli, of Greenwich, crashed his 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier into a parked Mitsubishi dump truck on Palmer's Hill road in Stamford Saturday night, according to the news release. Robustelli’s wife, Eleanor, was in the passenger seat, which was the side of the car that hit the truck, and was heavily damaged.

She was extricated from the vehicle by Stamford Fire & Rescue and transported to Stamford Hospital, the release said. She succumbed to injuries she suffered in the crash and was pronounced dead at the hospital on Monday, the release said.

Officers Jeffrey Booth and Hugh Mullin of the Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Squad of the Stamford Police Department are investigating the crash and can be reached at 203-977-4712, the release said.
