The Greenwich Police Department received multiple reports of thefts from motor vehicles that took place on Sunday night and early on Monday morning. Investigators said that a “variety of valuables were stolen from the cars.”

Greenwich Police Sgt. John Thorme of the Community Impact Section, said that vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked. Thorme said that “the best way to avoid this kind of theft is to remind people to lock their doors and take their keys with them. Also avoid leaving unattended valuables in vehicles, especially where they are easily seen.”

Anyone who has witnessed suspicious activity in the area, or who may have information regarding the larcenies has been asked to contact Thorme by calling (203) 622-3360 or the Greenwich tip line at (203) 622-3333.
