NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Police are warning residents to protect themselves after three unlocked cars were stolen in New Canaan over the past week.

Since Thursday, Oct. 19, there have been three cars stolen in town on Douglas Road, Myanos Road and Skyview Lane, according to police. All three cars were left unlocked and had their keys left inside.

Police advise residents to always lock their cars and remove all valuables.
