GREENWICH, Conn. -- Three New York men are facing weapon and burglary charges after a police pursuit ended in a crash as an officer attempted to pull over a car for speeding on North Street in Greenwich at about 6 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Frederick Shaw, 35, of Far Rockaway, N.Y., who police said was the driver of the vehicle, along with passengers Edward J. Morales, 27, and Erik Russell Smith, 27, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., were arrested on burglary, weapon and interfering with an officer charges. Shaw is also charged with motor vehicle charges in connection with the pursuit that ended when his vehicle crashed on Mason Street.

Two of the vehicle's occupants fled on foot but were arrested later, police said. The third suspect remained in the vehicle and was arrested at the scene, police said.

Police said a crossbow with arrows was found in the vehicle along with items that had been reported stolen from a Hekma Road residence.

Each man was held on $150,000 bond and were scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
