GREENWICH, Conn. – Three homes within 2.5 miles of one another have been burglarized, Greenwich police said.
The homes, on Stag Lane, Dingletown Road and Hill Road, were unoccupied during Monday's burglaries, which took place "a few hours before and after midday," Greenwich police Lt. Craig Kray said.
Police did not say what was taken from the homes. Investigators are asking neighbors for high-quality video footage of the roads, in case people or vehicles were recorded. Contact the Greenwich Police Tip Line at 203-622-3333 or 800-372-1176 or tips@greenwichct.org.

It’s sad that the Greenwich Police have to resort to asking neighbors of the burglarized ….to use THEIR video surveillance cameras to thwart and now help apprehend burglars for them.
The police can place solar powered high resolution digital cameras on main streets/main artery intersections i.e. Putnam Ave (and) INT 95 on/ off ramps (and) Merritt Parkway. These can be remote accessed real time with a back-up server to record the data.
This too can monitor certain vehicles by lic plates that have out- standing warrants for arrest from coming into our community and perpetrating their crimes here.
I don’t feel the Greenwich community would ANY objection to having break-ins and drive-in crime reduced dramatically with a system like this verse the police coming to our homes and asking…Gee guys can we borrow your video surveillance.
PS BTW....Greenwich Ct is in the top 5 wealthiest per capita towns in the country we have a budget to do this!
