Three Arrested On Drug, Weapons Charges While Driving Stolen Car In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. — Police in Norwalk arrested three people on a litany of charges after they were stopped driving a stolen car and found to have drugs on them, according to the Hour.

Officers in the area of Westport Avenue and East Avenue spotted a Nissan with tinted windows on Sunday afternoon, and checked the plates to determine that it was stolen, the Hour reported. It was stopped on East Wall Street and the three people inside were removed, according to the Hour.

The car had been stolen in a carjacking in the area of Noble Avenue and Maple Street in Bridgeport on Wednesday, June 21, the Hour reported. When searching the car, police found five folds of heroin in the driver's door, as well as syringes, a burnt spoon, razor blades, glassine tubes and a small bag of marijuana, the Hour reported.

They also found a hammer and a plastic gun that might have been used in the carjacking, police told the Hour.

Police arrested 28-year-old Heather Perdue, 34-year-old Peter Rizzo of Monroe, and 35-year-old Alex Turner of New Haven. They were all arrested on a number of charges, including possession of narcotics, weapons in a motor vehicle, second-degree larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana, and possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school. Perdue was also charged with violation of probation, and Turner was charged with driving with a suspended license.

Perdue was given a $100,000 bond, while Rizzo and Turner were given $50,000 bond.
