Suspect In Seven Commercial Robberies Nabbed In Fairfield County

A suspect has been arrested after a rash of commercial burglaries that occurred over a period of four months, Shelton Police announced.

Three of the seven burglaries occurred at Wheels gas station and convenience store on Old Stratford Road in Shelton, police said.

Michael Macy, 44, of Shelton has been charged in connection with the burglaries that Shelton experienced from December 2017 through March 2018. 

During the investigation Shelton detectives learned that Macy was responsible for burglarizing the Wheels gas station and convenience store on Old Stratford Road three times, JD’s package store on River Road, Andros Liquor store on River Road, AJ’s gas station on River Road and the A&F Mohegan gas station on Mohegan Road, police said.

Macy was charged with third-degree burglary as well as larceny and criminal Mischief on six of the arrest warrants and criminal attempt to commit burglary on one. Macy was held on a $122,500 bond and arraigned in Derby Superior court on 07/12/2018.
