State Police said the man was hit by a car around 3:18 a.m., Nov. 23, while walking on the southbound side of Interstate 95 near exit 7 in Stamford. The man is described as being a Hispanic male between 20 and 30 years old with dark brown or black spiked hair. Police said they "only want to identify this person so that we can notify his family," according to a notice.
The man was reportedly wearing the following clothes at the time of the incident:
- MR & Company dark blue jeans
- Timberland black colored belt with silver buckle
- J-CREW blue and white striped button down shirt size 16-16 1/2
- Victoria Brand grayish/blue hooded sweatshirt jacket, zipper in front, XXL.
- Nike Air running shoes size 11 with gray and blue.
- White colored ankle height socks
- Tarra'O red-colored boxer briefs
- Possibly wearing brown colored rosary beads or wood necklace.
Residents with information are asked to call State Police Troop G in Bridgeport at 203-696-2500. All calls will be confidential.
Lt. J. Paul Vance previously said that Troop G received several 911 calls shortly after 3 a.m. on Nov. 23 reporting a pedestrian walking in the left shoulder or median on I-95 south near Exit 7 in Stamford.
Troopers arrived on the scene and found a man had been struck and killed by a passing vehicle, Vance said previously. The victim was hit in the left lane of three southbound lanes of travel, he said. It is unknown why he was walking on the highway, Vance said. State Troopers have attempted to identify this man without success.
