Shicquane Hackeem Narine, 19, of 11 Finney Lane, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening. He turned himself in to police Wednesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On July 29, Narine had appeared at school wearing socks and a pair of shorts that had pictures of marijuana leaves on them, police said. He was told that attire was not appropriate and was told to go home and change, which he did, police said.
He arrived back at school and was told he needed to get a pass from the office to return to class, police said. He ignored the assistant dean and continued walking, police said.
When he was reminded again to get a pass, Narine became upset, yelled profanities and threatened the assistant dean, police said.
"He said, 'I am going to plug you,' " Sgt. Kelly Connelly said, referring to slang for shooting someone. The 36-year-old assistant dean called police, and Narine fled the building, Connelly said.
The trouble didn't stop there for Narine, who was also charged by Greenwich Police with third-degree larceny, interfering with an investigation, possession of burglary tools, possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana and third-degree conspiracy to commit larceny in connection with a June incident.
At 2:30 a.m. June 27, a Greenwich Police officer saw two cars traveling at a slow rate of speed on Cliff Avenue. As the officer approached, the two vehicles immediately accelerated in opposite directions and fled the scene, police said. One of the vehicles came very close to the police car while racing away, police said.
The Chevrolet Impala driven by Narine in the incident had been stolen from Cliff Avenue, police said. A warrant was issued for Narine's arrest after an investigation. It was executed on Wednesday when Narine appeared in court on the Stamford charges.
He was held on the Greenwich charges with a court date of Aug. 13 after he could not post $15,000 bond.
