Police told the Stamford Advocate that the manager of Six Thirteen restaurant Prospect Street noticed a cash shortfall last month. They discovered that 53 checks were written between May and November to an employee, 45-year-old George Spiro Moschos, according to the Stamford Advocate. The checks each totaled between $600 and $800, for a total amount of $34,150, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Moschos is a former manager of the restaurant, and had forged signatures on the checks, the Stamford Advocate reported. He was arrested and charged with second-degree larceny and 53 counts of forgery, and held on a $50,000 bond, according to the Stamford Advocate.
