Stamford Man Charged With Assault That Left Victim With Broken Jaw

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stamford man was charged with pulling over to the side of the road and beating another man and breaking his jaw last month, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Stamford Police charged a 22-year-old man with the beating of a 24-year-old man that left the victim with a broken jaw, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police told the Stamford Advocate that 22-year-old Richard Jeter pulled over on North Street on Aug. 5 and began punching a 24-year-old man. Jeter threw the other man to the ground and began hitting him in the face and head, breaking his jaw in the process, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The victim told police that he had recognized Jeter from time spent together at the Boys and Girls Club, and they were able to identify him using Facebook, the Stamford Advocate reported. Jeter was arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree assault, the Stamford Advocate reported.
