Updated: GREENWICH, Conn. — Six cars were stolen out of residents' driveways in one night in Greenwich, police said. And what did the cars all have in common?
All six — three taken from central Greenwich and three from midcountry — had been left unlocked with the keys inside, police told Greenwich Time.
Police urged residents "to be responsible," and to lock cars and remove keys, Greenwich Time said.
The Saturday night thefts remain under investigation to determine whether they are related, police told Greenwich Time.
Police said Monday via Twitter that some of the stolen cars had been recovered. "Lock your cars and take your keys. Eight cars stolen for joyriding youths who don't care about your property. Recovered vehicles were all damaged," police said.
