Captain Jeff Kreitz and officer Christopher DiFalco appear in the video with players. The video posted Tuesday on The Prospector Facebook page, and had more than 1.7 million page views by early Wednesday afternoon.

“We’re happy that the community is out playing Pokémon Go,’’ Kreitz said in the video. “However, we do have some safety concerns and we want to make you aware of them.”

Kreitz warned players about issues such as trespassing, pedestrian safety, driving and working while playing the game.

“Fabulous!!! So creative, fun, and a great message!!!” one woman wrote on Facebook about the video.
