Retiring Greenwich Firefighter Battles Restaurant Blaze On Last Day

GREENWICH, Conn. — Greenwich Firefighter Tom Pitasi retired Thursday, March 24, after more than 20 years on the job.

On his last day of work, Pitasi joined his colleagues in battling a blaze at the popular Barcelona eatery in downtown Greenwich.

"Congratulations to Firefighter Tom Pitasi," the Greenwich Fire Department said in a Facebook post. "Good luck to him as he begins a new stage in his life!"
