GREENWICH, Conn. — A water main break was reported at about 10 a.m. Tuesday on Greenwich Avenue in the downtown area, according to the Greenwich police.

It is in the vicinity of 372 Greenwich Ave., police said.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution in the area of the water main break on lower Greenwich Ave.

Traffic is down to one lane in the area, and motorists are urged to take other roads.

Icing conditions are also reported in the area.

Police said it would take four to six hours for Aquarion to complete repairs.
