Police: Body Of Missing Greenwich Woman, 49, Found In Woods Near Home

UPDATED: GREENWICH, Conn. — Greenwich police officers who were searching Saturday for a missing 49-year-old woman found her body in the woods off Old Stone Bridge Road on Saturday morning, Greenwich Time said.

The death of a missing Greenwich woman appears to be not suspicious, police said.

The woman, who lived nearby, had been reported missing Friday afternoon, near her home, Greenwich Time said.

Police called it an "untimely death," but it appeared to be “non-suspicious,” Greenwich Time said.

Greenwich police and a Stamford Police K-9 unit helped with the search for the woman, whose name was withheld pending notification of her extended family, Greenwich Time said.
