Pedestrian Hit By Bus In Greenwich 'Severely' Hurt

GREENWICH, Conn. — A pedestrian hit by a small school bus was injured "quite severely" Monday afternoon in Greenwich, police Lt. Kraig Gray said.

None of the five children on the bus were injured when the accident happened in the area of Glenville Road and Lake Avenue, near the entrance of the Rock Ridge private community, Gray said.

The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was taken to the emergency room at Stamford Hospital. The road was shut down during the investigation.

The bus had a capacity of 15 passengers.

Police will release more details Tuesday morning, Gray said.

pickle8:

Some of the school bus drivers appear to drive very aggressively and often exceed posted speed limits.
