Police Still Investigating Death Of Greenwich Man On I-287 In N.Y.

HARRISON, N.Y. -- New York State Police were still investigating the death of a Greenwich, Conn., man who was struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 287 in Harrison on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Antonio Hernandez, 24, was walking west in the right lane of I-287 when he was struck by a 2012 International tractor-trailer operated by a 51-year-old resident of Barnegate, N.J.

An autopsy conducted by the Westchester County Medical Examiner's Office found that Hernandez died of blunt force trauma. State Police were investigating why Hernandez was walking on the highway.

State Police are asking any witnesses who may have seen Hernandez before the accident to contact State Police Investigators at 914-769-2600.
