Police told Greenwich Patch that 49-year-old Barbara Pisano and 51-year-old Robert J. Snyder refused to come out when marshals came to their Lewis Street apartment on Tuesday morning to evict them. They screwed the front and back doors shut, Greenwich Patch reported.

A brief standoff followed, during which police showed up to the apartment to assist the marshals, according to Greenwich Patch. Eventually the officers and marshals were able to get the two to leave the apartment and they were placed under arrest, according to Greenwich Patch.

Pisano and Snyder had also caused some damage to the inside of the home, though the extent of the damage was not disclosed, according to Greenwich Patch.

The two were both charged with first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal mischief and held on $500 bonds, according to Greenwich Patch.
