Sharon Massey, 46, of Nash Place, Norwalk, was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, and third-degree criminal mischief. She was released on a summons to appear in court.

The incident happened around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunkin' Donuts at 545 Connecticut Ave., police said. The complainant said the driver in front of her was taking too long so she honked her horn, police said.

According to police, an angry Massey got out of her vehicle and walked to the woman's car stating: “If you have something to say, say it to me," she said before threatening that “I will throw this (expletive) in your face” in reference to the coffee she was holding.

Massey then did indeed toss her coffee in the face of the female driver and her male passenger, police said. Not content with that, she also decided to throw her purse at them before getting back into her vehicle and driving away, police said.

Officers were called and with Massey's purse in hand were able to quickly determine her identity — her driver's license was in the purse, police said. Policed called her and told to go to the police station.

Police said the female complainant and her male passenger's clothes were wet from the incident.
