Leslie Umpierre, 37, was interviewed by officers after her neighbor complained that she took a dog and iPad from her home, police told the Hour. The victim said Umpierre had previously threatened to steal the dog, thehour.com reported.
While being interviewed, officers discovered there was a warrant out for Umpierre's arrest on a charge of failure to appear. Umpierre's mother later arrived and returned the puppy and iPad, thehour.com said.
