The stabbing took place Tuesday, March 3, in the area of South Main Street and Grove Street. Officers were called to the area that afternoon on a report of a large fight, police said.

Officers found a 22-year-old male resident of Norwalk suffering from serious injuries as a result of being stabbed in the fight, according to police reports. He was taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment.

South Main Street was closed for several hours while police processed the scene and investigated the incident.

Nasir Hilliard was arrested along with 18-year-olds Xavior Baez and Calvin Hilliard in connection with the fight and each was charged with second-degree breach of peace. Calvin Hilliard was also arrested on drug charges after a small amount of marijuana and ecstasy were found in his possession, police said.

Detective Justin Bisceglie led the investigation into the stabbing, and determined that Nasir Hilliard was responsible, according to police. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he turned himself in Tuesday.
