Norwalk Police: Man Robbed At Gunpoint On Van Zant Street

NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man reported being robbed at gunpoint on Van Zant Street late Thursday night, according to police.

The 37-year-old man said he was dropped off at 25 Van Zant St. at about 11 p.m. Thursday. As he approached the building, he saw a black man come out of the bushes with a black handgun, he told police.

The gunman told the victim to hand over his money, and he gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash and his cellphone, police said. At that point an accomplice arrived on scene, and both suspects fled, according to police reports.
