Two juveniles had reported that on Monday afternoon, they were walking on East Rocks Road when a man in a blue convertible approached them and offered them a ride. The juveniles, whose ages and genders were not released, instead ran away and told their family what happened.

According to Lt. Tom Roncinske of the SVU, a further investigation by the SVU determined that the man did not try to lure the kids into his car, and that he was a neighbor of one of the kids. He was thoroughly checked, and it was determined that nothing criminal had occurred and it was just a misunderstanding.
