New Canaan Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 3-Year-Old At Wife's Day Care

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A 48-year-old New Canaan man arrested last week is charged with sexually assaulting a 3-year-old child four times from his wife's day care, according to the Hour.

Bayron Castro, 48, of 96 Locust Ave., Apt. B, was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor in connection with the incidents, which occurred form July 10 to 16, according to the Hour.

He was held on $250,000 bond after his arraignment in Norwalk Superior Court on July 27 and in Stamford Superior Court's Part A docket on July 29, the Hour said.

According to court documents, a woman went to the New Canaan police department on July 20 and reported that her 3-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted by the assistant at the Little Children's Home Day Care in New Canaan, the Hour said. The sexual assaults occurred during a sleepover at the home by Castro, whose daughter is a friend of the vicim, the Hour said. 

The Connecticut Office Of Early Childhood has ordered the day care to remain closed until further notice, the Hour said.
