Man Struck And Killed By Train In Mamaroneck

MAMARONECK, N.Y -  A man was struck and killed by a Metro-North Railroad train as it pulled into the Mamaroneck station Saturday morning, Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police said.

Sal Arena, media liaison for the MTA, said the incident occurred about 10 a.m and involved a New Haven line train that originated in Stamford. He said the man was on the tracks as the train pulled in. The Westchester medical examiner has been called to the scene, he said.

The man has not been identified and the incident is being investigated by MTA police and village and town of Mamaroneck police.

Passengers were removed from the southbound train and put on another train to continue their trip.
