Man Reports Being Robbed By Group Of Guys He Met At Stamford Bar

STAMFORD, Conn. — Be careful of who you meet in bars. A Stamford man reported that a group of people he met at a bar Friday night ended up robbing him on the way to the train station, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The 22-year-old victim told police that he left the Bedford Street bar late Friday night with a group of five guys he had met that night, according to the Stamford Advocate. While they were on the way to the train station, two of them jumped him, with one putting him in a headlock until he passed out, the Stamford Advocate reported.

Police told the Stamford Advocate that the man reported waking up at 2:50 a.m. with cuts and scrapes on his face, as well as a chipped tooth. He reported that he was missing his wallet and cell phone when he woke up, according to the Stamford Advocate. Police are currently investigating.
