GREENWICH, Conn. — An 84-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a car on Field Point Road in Greenwich, police say.

The road is closed from Brookside Drive to Sound View Drive. The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, was hit near Brookside Drive at 12:52 p.m., and taken to the emergency room at Stamford Hospital, Lt. Kraig Gray said.
