Man Charged With Passing Bad Check in Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. – A 23-year-old Meriden resident was arrested on a warrant Monday  charging him with trying to pass a fraudulent check in Greenwich, police said.

Daron Cochrane, of 323 Coe Ave., Apt. #123, allegedly tried to cash the check in February. An investigation led police to get an arrest warrant charging Cochrane with forgery in the third degree, larceny in the sixth degree and criminal attempt at larceny in the fourth degree.

He was released on a $500 bond and is due in court on June 25.

A 16-year-old boy was charged with larceny on June 12 when he was caught on surveillance tape stealing an iPhone. He admitted stealing the phone. He is due to appear in court June 26.
