Join The Greenwich Firefighters: Be Proud To Wear Pink

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Professional Fire Fighters Local 1042 will once again be taking part in the Proud to Wear Pink campaign in October for National Breast Cancer Month.

Proud to Wear Pink is a national campaign that raises money and awareness for breast cancer. Connecticut has one of the highest rates of invasive breast cancer in the country according to the Susan G. Komen website.

Residents are encouraged to help by purchasing a T-shirt or making a donation. All of the money raised will be split between The Breast Center at Greenwich Hospital and Susan G. Komen. Shirts are $15 for short sleeve and $20 for long sleeve.
