GREENWICH, Conn., -- A Cos Cob man had to be tasered by police after they responded to his him on a welfare call.
Police said Russ Caruso, 46, of 10 Maple St., was found "intoxicated, belligerent and extremely agitated" when police arrived at his home Monday night around 10 p.m.
He was uncooperative with officers and had to be subdued with a shot from an officer's Taser, police said.
Caruso was taken to Greenwich Hospital for treatment. He was issued a summons on a charge of disorderly conduct and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford on March 24.
