James E. Harris, 39, of 16 Ritch Ave., Apt. B, was arrested at 11 p.m. at the Greenwich police headquarters. He was released after posting $25,000 bond and given a court date of Nov. 12 to appear at state Superior Court in Stamford.
Appearing in court has been an issue with Harris. He turned himself in Wednesday to police after discovering there was an earlier warrant for his arrest on a charge of failing to appear in court, and police charged him with another failing to appear in court.
That warrant had been issued for a previous court appearance so he was given a lesser $750 bond, which he posted.
The Greenwich Public Schools cafeteria worker had originally been arrested last year on a charge of third-degree larceny. He was accused of stealing thousands of dollars while working as a cashier and handling students’ lunch money payments.
