At approximately 3:30 a.m., a Greenwich police officer was on patrol on Hamilton Avenue when he saw a vehicle traveling with no lights. The vehicle had been reported as stolen about week ago in Stamford, police said. The suspects' vehicle fled from the officer at a high rate of speed before it crashed, police said.

The two suspects ran from the vehicle and were still at large, police said.

Shortly after the suspects fled, a local resident reported the theft of their car within the vicinity of the search area, police said. As officers were responding to that theft, they spotted the second suspect still on foot fleeing the area, police said.

Officers continued search for the suspect in the area of Davis Avenue, police said. At about 9 a.m., police said they had found one of the suspects but didn't release any further information.

If anyone sees the suspect, call 911.
