Greenwich Police, Chamber Host Identity Theft Seminar

GREENWICH, CONN. -- The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Greenwich Police Department and Connecticut Financial Crimes Task Force, will host a presentation on fighting identity theft.

The event, "Combating Identity Theft and Retail Fraud," will be from 6:15-7:15 p.m. July 31 at the Greenwich Public Safety Complex, 11 Bruce Place. The free event is open to all retail and business employees in Greenwich.

Senior Special Agent Derek Dunn of the U.S. Secret Service and Connecticut Financial Crimes Task Force and Detective Mark Solomon of the Greenwich Police Department, will be presenting the following information to help safeguard individuals and businesses:

-- Counterfeit Currency -- Counterfeit Credit/Debit/Gift Cards -- Network Intrusions into Retail businesses -- ATM and Credit Card Skimming
